六爻
Liu Yao · Six Lines · liù yáo
六爻排盘以六条阴阳爻组成卦，并叠加动静、纳甲、六亲、六神和世应等信息。爻位从下向上数。
Liu Yao charts use six lines, counted from bottom to top, with moving lines, branches, relationship roles and other layers.
本卦
Primary Hexagram · běn guà
本卦是起卦得到的原始六爻组合。读盘时先确认六条爻的阴阳和动静，再与变卦对照。
The Primary Hexagram is the original six-line configuration obtained from the casting.
变卦
Relating Hexagram · biàn guà
动爻由阳变阴或由阴变阳后形成变卦。本卦与变卦在盘面中分别列示，便于对照相同爻位。
The Relating Hexagram is formed by changing each moving line to its opposite polarity.
动爻
Moving Line · dòng yáo
动爻是在起卦结果中标记为变化的爻。爻变会改变变卦相应位置的阴阳，并产生相应的变爻信息。
A Moving Line changes its polarity in the relating hexagram.
世爻
Self Line · shì yáo
世爻是六爻盘中代表己方位置的标记。它由卦宫及卦序规则定位，并与应爻形成对应。
The Self Line marks the querent's reference position within the hexagram's palace classification.
应爻
Response Line · yìng yáo
应爻与世爻相对，常用于定位对方或所面对的一方。具体所指取决于所问事项。
The Response Line is paired with the Self Line and supplies the counterpart position in the reading.
六亲
Six Relations · liù qīn
六亲是依据卦宫五行与各爻五行建立的传统关系名称，盘面常见父母、兄弟、子孙、妻财、官鬼。
Six Relations is the traditional system assigning parent, sibling, child, wealth and official/ghost roles to lines.
六神
Six Spirits · liù shén
六神依次使用青龙、朱雀、勾陈、螣蛇、白虎、玄武等名称，与各爻配列，作为六爻盘的辅助象意层。
The Six Spirits are the Azure Dragon, Vermilion Bird, Gou Chen, Soaring Serpent, White Tiger and Dark Warrior labels assigned to lines.
六爻用神
Focus Line · liù yáo yòng shén
六爻用神是根据所问对象选取的重点六亲或爻位。取用之前需要先明确问的是谁、什么事以及关系背景。
The Focus Line is the relationship role or line chosen to represent the subject of the question.
纳甲
Na Jia · nà jiǎ
纳甲是在卦和爻中配置天干、地支的规则。六爻盘中的地支、五行与六亲关系由此获得基础对应。
Na Jia assigns stems and branches to trigrams and lines, supplying the basis for further chart relationships.
旬空
Void Branches · xún kōng
一旬为十个干支日，十天干不能轮到的两个地支称为旬空。六爻盘中常把日旬空标出，供与爻支对照。
A ten-day stem-branch segment leaves two branches unused; these are its Void Branches.
月破
Month Clash · yuè pò
爻支与月支相冲时，称为月破。它描述的是爻支和当月地支之间的关系。
Month Clash describes a line branch that clashes with the current month branch.
伏神
Hidden Spirit · fú shén
伏神指依据本宫等排盘规则伏藏于明爻之下的信息。查看伏神时需同时区分伏藏内容与盘面明示的飞神。
A Hidden Spirit is a concealed line role derived through the palace rules and read beneath the visible line.
六十四卦
Sixty-Four Hexagrams · liù shí sì guà
六十四卦由八卦两两重叠构成，每卦有六爻。名称、上下卦与爻位共同标识具体卦象。
The sixty-four hexagrams are formed by combining pairs of the eight trigrams.
